It seems like every year, Kim Kardashian-West decides to break the internet with a new controversial photo spread or magazine cover. This year was no different. After her and husband, Kanye West welcomed their child Chicago West into the world the mother of three is right back to work. Yesterday, she rocked the e-streets to the core by releasing a brand new set of nude and semi-nude photos. This wouldn't hold much importance to us if not for Richmond, Virginia native photographer Marcus Hyde, being the visual mind behind Kim's latest spread.

The now Los Angeles-based photographer was commissioned by the socialite after already working with the likes of Childish Gambino, Chance the Rapper, and Jhené Aiko. This Bo Derek-inspired session was Kim's idea and shot at a beach near her home.

Hyde tells Complex: "The braids are identical to the beads from the Bo Derek photo shoot," Hyde says. "That's what Kim wanted. She stayed up all night getting her hair braided for hours."
