In Remembrance Of J. Dilla...

J. Dilla is one of the most revered producers in Hip-Hop. His contributions to the genre are still felt today as we celebrate his birthday. The legendary producer born James Dewitt Yancey on February 7, 1974, emerged out of Detroit in the mid-nineties with his signature style. He began creating timeless music with the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Slum Village, Busta Rhymes, Erykah Badu, The Roots, and many more. To this day, both established and producers on the come up reference his work as what started them on their path. In 2006, we lost J Dilla aka Jay Dee to a cardiac arrest just 3 days after the release of his classic album "Donuts."

Take a listen to the album below as we celebrate the life and legacy of J. Dilla.
